We are just your typical Aussie Carpenter and Barista duo from QLD who fell in love with the idea of freedom... we are Jono and Soph founders of Lapmap.

We hit the road in October 2021 with no plans and no end date, to say we've learnt so much about ourselves is an understatement. You meet like minded people from all kinds of backgrounds and it feels like you've known them for a life time.

As we made more friends and talked to other travellers, we noticed that most of them had some form of map they carried around with them to track their 'Lap', we would get our bruised and battered maps out and compare journeys while having to remain on high alert for gusts of wind threatening to split our map in half. Without doubt, comparing these maps triggered an all out ‘yarn off’ sharing our most memorable experiences.

One of many nights around the campfire there was a yarn that stuck... what if we made a map that can be passed on for generations? A map that can inspire others to get out there and have a crack?
